My daughter received this very cute Children's Tea Set for her birthday last week. It is made by Schylling and is a porcelain tea set that she can really use. Just like Fiestaware, it is brightly colored.
It is perfect for brewing her own tea. She can either put a tea bag or two inside along with hot water or a loose tea blend and then pour over a strainer. It is also great for juice, water or lemonade too. Whatever her tea party guests prefer.
Here is her little table set to enjoy tea and cookies with her dolls. The cookie set is from Melissa and Doug and those are Haba tea bags. Perfect for a pretend tea party. The plates are from Ikea.
If you are looking for a children's tea set, then definitely consider this one. We love it. It is available from Amazon. They have also been very reliable and offer fast shipping.
P.S. Here is a close up shot that my daughter took and really wanted to share with you all. Enjoy!
Mighty Leaf Green Tea Tropical is one of my favorite teas that is in a tea bag. My husband and I recently attended a really fundraiser for my daughter's school. The event was held at a really nice local hotel with a very fancy ballroom. After dinner, the servers came around with the dessert course and I asked for a cup of tea. I was very pleased when he returned with a mini tea service with a choice of Mighty Leaf tea pouches.
This tea service contained a mug, teapot full of hot water, a choice of three teas, and a little pot of honey. I went with the Mighty Leaf Green Tea Tropical. They come individually wrapped in a cello wrap bag, perfect for keeping the tea fresh and throwing in your bag to take with you.
When you can't have loose leaf tea, a tea bag or pouch with full leaf tea is a close second. Mighty Leaf Teas are very full flavored. Order some Mighty Leaf Green Tea Tropical today and see what you think.
Brewing loose green tea can seem like a difficult task when compared to the ease of using a tea bag. I put together this short video though to show just how easy it can be to brew a cup of loose green tea with just a few simple items.
You can find these items from the American Tea Room, the Tea Spot and Amazon. Order them today and you will be on your way to brewing a great cup of loose green tea.
Years ago we received a teapot for Christmas from a relative. We were not really tea drinkers at the time, beyond the usual tea bag of Lipton or Oolong received with Chinese takeout. We used it a couple of times and then it got put into a cabinet and forgotten.
Then we received a package of loose tea and the teapot was remembered. I really wish that I could remember the tea that started us on this whole journey. We pulled out the pot, heated some water on the stove, and brewed it up. And we were hooked.
We've added a few things to our tea arsenal along the way such as this and that, but we still use the teapot. I took a picture today to share with you. It is just a classic white, ceramic teapot. It is probably used at least once a day.
I have dreams of adding a cast iron teapot to the collection sometime. They are great for retaining heat and keeping your tea warm. Plus the Tetsubin are handcrafted and have beautiful designs.
Anyway just wanted to share where our tea cabinet started. Share in the comments below where your love of tea started. We would love to know.
If you are new to tea drinking or are a long time tea drinker, than chances are you are used to making tea with a tea bag. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but you are missing out on having a really great cup of tea. Loose leaf tea makes a superior cup of tea for a number of reasons.
The tea leaves inside of a tea bag are usually the leftover little pieces of tea that are too small to be used in a loose leaf tea. These bits of leaves, or fannings, do not have the same quantity of essential oils that a whole tea leaf does. These oils are what gives a cup of tea their flavor.
A typical tea bag does not allow the tea leaves the chance to unfurl and expand in the water either. Tea leaves need to be able to do that to impart flavor to the water. A tea bag just compresses the leaves together and doesn't allow for that.
It is however possible to get a great cup of tea while using a tea bag. Look for a tea bag that contains whole tea leaves. There are several companies that offer tea bags that unfold into a pyramid shape. This allows the tea leaves to unfurl and expand so that the water can swirl around them. One of my favorites is Mighty Leaf Tea. Right now Mighty Leaf is on Sale Today! Check it out. I especially love their Green Tea Tropical and Chamomile Citrus.
If you have a favorite whole tea leaf tea bag tea, please share in the comments below. We would love to check them out and add them to our tea cabinet.
